Flexibility
SIAMremote II is readily adapted to LHDs, drills, haulage trucks, rock breakers, or any equipment with electrical and/or hydraulic controls.
Easily upgradeable
With the modular approach of SIAMremote II and
SIAMtechnologies, add-on options such as SIAMload and SIAMguidance are easily
installed at any time.
Modular interface on the vehicle |
The machine unit applies commands to the vehicle via an interface based on a CANbus serial network. The network allows more flexibility at the instrumental level due of new actuators or sensors. Other types of control units can be added with only a few modifications to the existing wiring. Add-on options, such as video capabilities, can be easily installed right from the start or later, as the needs change.
Fully integrated with SIAMtechnologies |
SIAMremote was designed as the foundation for the SIAMtechnlologies family. A vehicle equipped with SIAMremote can easily be configured to work with other SIAMtechnologies such as
SIAMload, SIAMguidance and
SIAMnet.

Long-range communication coverage
Our standard 2.4GHz radio (Multi-media Radio Modem) enables superior coverage in all underground mining applications.
In direct Line-of-sight |
Typical coverage is over 600m. For Line-of-sight applications, the distance is limited by the operator's ability to efficiently and safely operate the vehicle. Radio coverage is not an issue.
In semi Line-of-sight and blind mucking |
Typical coverage varies between 100m and 250m depending on the drift configuration.
The set-up can be customized to increase coverage for specific
applications. |
