| Introduction | |||
|
SIAMremote II is a cost-efficient remote control system designed for underground equipment. The main application is remote controlled mucking with LHDs.
| The system can be used in several ways: | |||
|
Line-of-sight |
Remote mucking at draw points or any other application where the operator can safely operate with direct view of the vehicle.
| Remote control with video | A video communication link, a portable monitor and cameras are added onto the system for semi-blind or blind mucking applications. | ||
| Local Teleoperation | Remote control with video and sound from a safe area within the standard 2.4GHz radio range. Coverage distance will vary depending on the local conditions and drift configurations. | ||
| Teleoperation via SIAMnet network with 800MHz radio | The Operator Unit can communicate with the vehicle through the SIAMnet network. This configuration allows the operator to perform the loading operation from a control room. The control room can be located anywhere underground or on surface. | ||
